Aruba belongs, with Bonaire and Curaçao, to the Leeward Islands. The island is approx. 193 km2 (comparable to the Dutch island of Tessel) and has around 100,000 inhabitants. The official language is Papiamento but all Arubans speak Dutch, English and Spanish.

The capital city is Oranjestad, where the only airport is also located. From there you can drive to our house with a rental car (for example, a Jeep) within fifteen minutes.

Aruba has a tropical climate with an average temperature of almost 28°C and a continuously blowing north-easterly passat wind. Tropical storms and tornados do not occur. One of the most beautiful beaches in the world is on the western side of the island: white beaches, waving palm trees and a crystal clear sea!

On the island there is plenty to do for young and old alike. Diving, trips to the Bushiribana ruins or the Fontein caves. Eating self-caught fish in local restaurants, international dining or a quick snack at Taco Bell or McDonalds. Aruba is not for nothing called the ‘shoppers island’, especially in Oranjestad you can shop pleasantly and cheaply.
